While Hannover Re cannot provide a pool of possible topics for your diploma thesis, we can offer you various types of assistance ranging from help with specific questions to concrete support from our company; this may also take the form of an accompanying internship.
Your profile

Successfully completed main course of study, preferably in economics, mathematics, information science or law
- As an economist you are concentrating on insurance business management, controlling, accounting or international trade relations
- As a mathematician you are deepening your understanding of statistics and stochastics
- As an information scientist you are focused on databases, Java or Microsoft technologies and you know one current programming language
- You are interested in the financial services sector
- You have a good knowledge of English, preferably also another foreign language
- You have gathered initial practical experience, e.g. through internships, work experience gained as a student or through an apprenticeship, preferably in the financial sector
- You have analytical faculties and enjoy working with figures
You have an outgoing, flexible and communicative personality. You have the capacity for self-reflection and self-organisation and are able to defend your views.
