The Information Technology Division is responsible for all central IT services relating to the applications, computer and network structures and IT security of the Hannover Re Group.
Our clients are Home Office in Hannover and our international offices throughout the world.
The entire IT world on the spot
In our division IT and software specialists are engaged in different core areas. With a staff of around 90 we serve virtually the entire company from Hannover. The IT Division is organised into departments, sections and service groups:
- The IT-Infrastructure Department is responsible for all hardware components, networking, telecommunications and system issues.
- The IT-Applications Department and User Service maintains applications for all areas of the company and provides support for IT users.
- The primary responsibilities of the IT-Software Development Department are system integration, in-house software development and data organisation.
- Sections such as IT-Organisation and IT-Quality Management are entrusted, inter alia, with the development and communication of Group-wide IT standards and methods as well as with IT cost controlling and IT security tasks.
