Our particular business
Our devision develops innovative and structured reinsurance solutions for individual clients worldwide. Our concepts are used to optimise the cost of capital; they serve as an alternative to debt financing as well as an alternative to increase the shareholders' equity. Furthermore, they can stabilise all key balance sheet ratios. Thus, structured reinsurance is a balance sheet management tool.
With a team of around 15 people, our unit in Hannover focuses on worldwide underwriting outside the United States – while our team in Dublin concentrates on our North American clients. We maintain business relations with brokers and insurers around the globe.
A typical day at the office
As an underwriter, you can look forward to a mixture of communicative challenges and complex technical issues. You work out reinsurance solutions, develop products and serve your worldwide clients both on the spot and from our Home Office.
English is your working language in international communication with business partners and clients. Regular travel is a part of the job.
Am I the right candidate ?
This is the profile we are looking for:
- University graduate in economics or mathematics
- Keen analytical mind and grasp of numbers
- If possible, knowledge of insurance and/or reinsurance
- Very good level of English
- Experience of living/working abroad in an English-speaking environment would be beneficial
- IT and business administration knowledge
- Confident character
