Our worldwide specialty business
Our division is the third-largest provider in this segment worldwide. With a staff of around 10 we serve clients in more than 50 countries in Europe, America, Australia, Asia and Africa. Our regionally organised teams operate independently. Of course, we also keep each other updated on central developments.
Our main products are
- Reinsurance of domestic and export credit risks; suppliers obtain coverage for the risk of default on goods and services by the customer
- Surety reinsurance; this ensures that a beneficiary receives contractually agreed deliveries and/or payments (e.g. payments, deliveries, performances) even if the debtor party itself is unable to perform, for example due to insolvency
- Reinsurance for political risks; in the context of international trade and investment transactions, coverage is provided for the risk that contracts cannot be fulfilled due to acts of state such as an embargo, nationalisation or currency embargo
