Hannover Life Re is represented by two Central Divisions in Hannover: Hannover Life Re Germany and Hannover Life Re International. These are two of the altogether seven Business Centers that make up the decentralised organisation of Hannover Life Re.
Our expertise is life, health and personal accident reinsurance. Our international clients expect us to offer a complete professional grasp of the business and a flair for communication.
Our specialty business
Our focus is entirely on the reinsurance of life, health and personal accident policies worldwide. Individually, such policies do not constitute a problem, but in total they can pose a financial risk for insurers.
With a staff of around 50 we serve roughly 1,000 companies and brokers worldwide. We are currently active in different European countries, the United States and South America, South Africa, Asia and Australia. We handle for instance the direct business in Germany, the United Kingdom and South America, retrocessions, i.e. ceded reinsurance, for the subsidiaries and controlling of life and health business at the offices abroad.
Further areas of concentration are so-called "stochastic banking solutions", e.g. the financing of new life business, and the development of new primary insurance products.
We deploy our knowledge on a targeted basis to solve our clients' problems. A good knowledge of English and, depending on the market, foreign languages such as French, Spanish or Chinese provides the basis for our day-to-day work.
