In addition to your up-to-date résumé, your application should include a brief cover letter for one of the branches in the US explaining exactly which position you are applying for. If you would like to apply to Hannover Re Services USA, Inc. – and we also welcome speculative applications – please send your application by e-mail only to our Management via HRHSUSA-personnel@hannover-re.com. You will receive an invitation to interview or a rejection, as appropriate, by e-mail or over the phone within five days of receipt of your documents. In the case of speculative applications we shall review whether we can employ you in a currently available position or whether a suitable vacancy for you is likely to arise in the near future. Your data will always be treated in the strictest confidentiality. 

There are two rounds to the interview process: in the first round we conduct a preparatory interview with you over the phone and, if appropriate, then invite you to a second face-to-face interview with our Managing Directors.

Subsequent to your interview you will be notified as to whether your application has been successful or not by phone or e-mail. Upon request we will also explain the reasons for a rejection.

We will only consider submissions for posted positions. Please do not send any unsolicited applications since we are unable to consider them. We trust you will appreciate that we only contact those candidates selected for interview and cannot respond to any other applications.

Depending upon your place of residence, the first round of interviews will either take place in person or over the phone. The second round, which includes the participation of the relevant department's Senior Management, as well as the third and final round with Human Resources are conducted on a face-to-face basis. Once the interviews have been completed we shall inform you of the outcome as soon as we have reached a decision. If you are to be offered the vacant position we shall first contact you by phone before sending the official offer letter. Unsuccessful candidates are notified in writing, although we do not specify detailed reasons for rejection.

As far as general questions about a particular vacancy, the company or the application process are concerned, we only respond to those candidates who have been selected for an interview.
