What do we expect from applicants?

  • A degree in economics, law or mathematics
  • Commercial and communication skills
  • Initial work experience in the insurance sector
  • Excellent command of English, good command of another foreign language
  • Work experience in an English-speaking country
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office

Information for applicants

If you wish to apply to one of our three locations in Great Britain, you can send your application via email to HRSUK-personnel@hannover-re.com. Or you can send your application by post to the appropriate branch. You will find the address here.

Your application should include your current CV, references and copies of certificates as well as a convincing cover letter of no more than 150 words. The latter should describe your motivation for applying to our company and for a specific position. Please also tell us about your earliest starting date, your desired salary and if you – as a non-EU citizen – have a work visa for Great Britain.

We will send you confirmation of receipt of your application within ten working days. The process of interviews and the length of the interviews depend on the job you have applied for. Rejections are sent via email or post.

All information made available to the Hannover Life Reassurance (UK) Ltd. and its subsidiaries is dealt with according to legal data protection regulations (UK Data Protection Act 1998). All data which you provide us with via the internet is transmitted in an SSL encrypted form and is therefore protected from unauthorized access.

All personal information is dealt with us strictly confidentially and can only be accessed by the head of personnel and the line manager of the department that you applied to. The data is stored for six months solely for application purposes and is deleted at the end of the application process.
