Diploma Student

The Hannover Life Re Division is currently offering a diploma student the opportunity of collaborating with the division with the object of putting together a diploma thesis. This opportunity is available immediately. The stay at Hannover Life Re should be no shorter than three months.

Duties:

The topic of the diploma thesis will be agreed on together with the diploma student and the respective department. There are plans to concentrate on the following subject areas:

  • Study, develop and analyse insights gained from mortality trends.
  • Be involved in modelling/projecting annuity insurances and in product developments resulting therefrom.
  • Offer assistance  in the quotations process. Assist with wordings and contract administration.

 

Specifications:

  • Candidates are currently studying Mathematics, ideally with a concentration on Stochastics.
  • Candidates will have already earned an intermediate diploma.
  • Good English language skills.
  • Versed in the use of Microsoft Office products. Initial programming skills in C++.
  • Able to work independently but yet a team player.
  • Good analytical capabilities.
  • Communication skills.
