Hannover Re's Code of Conduct stipulates on a binding basis for all employees and managers worldwide that nobody may be disadvantaged or discriminated against. This is true not only within the company but also with respect to business partners and – as a general rule – all people with whom Hannover Re enters into relations. The extract from the Code of Conduct is as follows:
"Both among ourselves and with regard to our business partners we respect the dignity and personality rights of every individual and do not tolerate any prejudicial treatment or insult on grounds of race or on account of ethnic origin, gender, religion or world view, disability, age or sexual identity."
