One of Hannover Re's strategic objectives is to continuously foster the motivation and skills of its employees. As an employer, Hannover Re therefore creates framework conditions for its staff that facilitate a healthy balance between work and leisure. Rates of absenteeism and staff turnover (3.4% and 4.3% at Home Office in Hannover) are lower than the industry average. We surveyed our employees on their attitude towards their company in 2010. Compared to the level in 2007 (90%), overall satisfaction (93%) has further increased. The number of employees worldwide grew from 2,192 in 2010 to 2,217 in 2011.
