Glossary of the German Share Institute

Glossary of Deutsches Aktieninstitut e.V. (German Share Institute)

The language of the financial world has its own technical terms. The German Share Institute (DAI) has therefore published a glossary of specialist terminology on its Internet website for interested readers.

Founded in 1953 as the "Arbeitskreis zur Förderung der Aktie", the German Share Institute is the association of exchange-listed stock corporations and institutions with an interest in the German capital market. An independent non-profit institution, the German Share Institute is committed to enhancing the conditions for Germany as a financial centre and for equity as an investment and financing instrument at all levels of society and in the political domain.

In addition to the glossary, the DAI website offers some basic information for new investors in equities as well as links to major institutions in the financial sector and listed companies.
