Life reinsurance is a strategic growth segment for Hannover Re. All activities are carried out under the Hannover Life Re brand name. In this business group Hannover Re structures its customer relationships as long-term partnerships with the goal of designing needs-oriented solutions to its clients' individual problems.
Life reinsurance is transacted on the basis of a five-pillar model:
- Financial solutions (financing transactions/block assumption transactions)
- Pioneering new markets, especially using product partnerships (senior citizens' market, Retakaful market)
- Bancassurance
- Preferred partner of major international insurance groups
- Conventional reinsurance in selected markets and customer segments
We intend to strengthen and further expand our market position through organic growth as well as acquisitions.
