The company is the market leader or number two player in the German, French, UK, Swedish, South African, Malaysian and Australian markets. In the United States it was able to enhance its position significantly. Operating under the Hannover Life Re brand name, the Hannover Re Group has stepped up its activities in the priority markets of United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, South Africa, France, Ireland, Barbados, China and Italy. These 10 markets account for 87% of our premium volume.

Distribution channels
Worldwide business is supported by a global network of eight licensed reinsurers and seven branches of Hannover Re. Altogether, our clients are served by roughly 700 staff on five continents. Marketing takes place directly without the use of intermediaries.
