Equality is not just a legal requirement for us but reflects our self-image. We profit enormously from the skills and know-how of all of our employees, may they be male, female, young or more advanced in age and from the fact that they have diverse backgrounds.
We start early with supporting the young generation. We participate in the "Careers Day for Girls and Boys". As part of this annual event, school children from years 5 to 10 can gain an insight into the world of work in our company. In addition, older children of our employees can make use of our regular job application training courses. We hold talks at universities on the subject ‘From practical experience for practical use’ which grant insights into the world of work.
We take our social responsibility seriously and are active not only in our business area. For example, Hannover Re supports young musicians and contemporary art, for instance in the Sprengel Museum in Hannover. Find out more about how we are active in society here.
