Are you a little unsure of yourself because you do not know much about reinsurance? That doesn’t matter! You can soon get up to speed with commitment and willingness to learn.

When you start working for us, your team has an initial training plan for you for the first few weeks. It helps you to integrate and gives you a reliable guide.

Before you really get going, we give you information about the world of reinsurance, our processes and our product and service portfolio in our introductory course ‘Reinsurance Basics’, which lasts several days. During this time you can get to know other Hannover Re recruits and start creating your own company-specific network.

When you return to the office, your team shows you the most important work processes and helps you to familiarise yourself with your job. An experienced colleague will be your mentor – your personal adviser for the first few weeks.

And then all you have to do is start, ask questions, get involved.

After three months you have a 100-day meeting with your direct superior and ‘your’ supervisor from the Human Resources department. The main focus here is on how the first few weeks went – from both your and our point of view. This helps us to identify and implement any optimisation potential early on.
