You never stop learning at Hannover Re. We encourage continuous further training of our employees. This happens literally ‘on the job’ i.e. where you work.

With new tasks, detailed questions and constantly changing frameworks it is necessary to learn all the time. We would like you to contribute to this learning process. Development is the focus of regular meetings between employees and their direct superior. These meetings include not only performance reviews but they also look into the future: how can the area of responsibility be extended, what goals should be set and what qualifications does the employee need? And then it can begin: learning on-the-job.

A tried and tested tool for learning on-the-job is our staff exchange programme. This allows employees to look beyond the confines of their own job by spending a few days or several weeks in a different division which has points of contact with their own division. This work shadowing may also take place in our international branches.
