We support the steps taken by the public sector to reduce the number of COVID-19 infections and slow the rapid global spread of the coronavirus: most of our employees around the world are currently working from home. Until further notice, we are also refraining as far as possible from all travel as well as from external visits and attendance events - for the benefit of all.
Even in these days of "social distancing" our search for new members of staff goes on. We continue to update the vacancies advertised in our Job Portal on a daily basis.
We have, however, adjusted our recruitment process in line with coronavirus measures. Our focus is on protecting the health of our applicants and employees alike. For this reason, most of our interviews take place by telephone or video conference. A telephone and a stable Internet connection for a laptop are the only requirements. There is no need to download any special software because the solution that we use is browser-based.
The taster day, which is highly appreciated by both applicants and future colleagues, can take place in our offices, but only if applicants and departments agree.
In this case, too, we are switching over to phone calls and teleconferences that enable candidates and employees to get to know one another in a relaxed setting in small groups or through one-to-one chats spread over a day or two.
We do not know what the immediate future has in store for us. For those whose first day at work arrives while social distancing guidelines are still in place, we shall find ways to respect these requirements while at the same time ensuring that our new colleagues are appropriately familiarised with their tasks and workplace.
