We transfer insurance risks in the capital market. To this end we pool and structure risks so that they can be placed with institutional investors. This often happens via securitisation of risks. Furthermore, we act as an investment manager for Hannover Re by buying and dealing with such securitised insurance risks, especially in the field of natural disasters.
What do we do exactly?
We acquire insurance risks and restructure them to be able to pass them on to the capital market. In doing this, we evaluate risks and negotiate contract conditions. We set up customer relationships with insurance companies who we take risks over from and with investors who we pass the risks on to. Our tasks also include marketing and budgeting.
In addition to this, we deal with risk modelling and management for our investment portfolio. This includes risk management and reporting.
What skills do we have?
Our team of about 10 employees excels with the following qualifications:
- A degree in (business/insurance)mathematics, economics or similar
- Excellent analytical and communication skills – also in English
- A distinct interest in financial market topics
