Orlando, Florida – Hannover Life Reassurance Company of America “HLR America” announces the promotion of John Di Meo to Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary. John joined HLR America in 2010 and was most recently Vice President, Financial Solutions. Prior to joining HLR America, John was the appointed actuary for M Life Insurance Company. He also worked for Metropolitan Life’s Canadian operation.
John graduated with distinction from Concordia University and received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He went on to receive a master’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Waterloo. John is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a Certified Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
In his role as appointed actuary for HLR America, John is responsible for all valuation related duties, including the support of such duties for various Hannover Re affiliates. John also leads the corporate actuarial function, which has oversight responsibilities relating to financial reporting, new business pricing and corporate modeling.
