Jay Biehl, Senior Vice President, Pricing, Hannover Life Re commented, “These three individuals bring roughly 85 years of combined industry experience and significantly enhance our commitment to focus on innovation and research and development in the coming years.”

Doug Ingle joins Hannover Life Re as Vice President, Underwriting Research. Doug brings over 30 years of experience to Hannover Life Re. He will be responsible for underwriting research including cost value studies of underwriting evidence, research to support Hannover Life Re’s mortality assessment system Summit, the Underwriting manual ASCENT and the underwriting engine Merica USA. Doug will also be a member of the underwriting management team. Prior to joining Hannover Life Re, Doug spent 5 years with Northwestern Mutual as Director of Underwriting Standards. Formerly, Doug served as Vice President of Underwriting and Mortality Research with ING Re, and Vice President and Chief Reinsurance Underwriter for American United Life.

Lloyd Spencer joins Hannover Life Re as Vice President, Research Actuary. Lloyd will be responsible for leading Applied Research including ownership of Summit as well as involvement with mortality assessment related to credit financial deals. He will also play an active role in industry related issues such as Principal Based Reserves and Simplified issue task forces. Lloyd has spent his career in various roles at both direct companies and reinsurers. Most recently, Lloyd served as Vice President, Corporate Actuary for OneAmerica. Formerly, Lloyd served 13 years with Lincoln Financial Group. Lloyd will be based in the Charlotte, North Carolina office.

Mark Petersen joins Hannover Life Re as Senior Pricing Analyst. In this role, Mark will be focusing on the pricing of various reinsurance products offered by Hannover Life Re as well as providing client support. Prior to joining Hannover Life Re, Mark served 30 years with Lincoln Financial Group where he served in several different roles including Assistant Vice President and Director of Reinsurance Products, Senior Pricing Consultant and most recently as Plan Compliance Specialist. Mark will be based in the Charlotte, North Carolina office.
