An article published in a UK newspaper reported on the impending sale of Heidelberger Leben. Hannover Re was mentioned in this connection as a possible buyer. The price to be paid was put in the region of EUR 400 million.
Hannover Re can confirm that it is involved in the sale process. However, its financial investment will be of an indirect nature consisting of a minority interest that will not exceed an amount in the double-digit million euros.
In view of the fact that negotiations are still ongoing, the company is currently unable to provide any further details in this regard.
