How to apply for a job with us

If you are not already registered, please create your personal account first. You will be asked to agree to our privacy policy which will allow us to store your data (valid for six months). Once you have registered, you will be given access to your personal application portal. You can then start your online application.

All you need to do is enter your contact details, answer a few selection questions (e.g. about your salary expectations, willingness to relocate and notice period) and upload your CV as a PDF. A cover letter is not required.

You can continue to work on your application until you receive a response. You can update your application profile, which will be used as a template for new applications, at any time.

You can check the status of your application at any time. Look in the Job applications section of your personal application portal.

Our team of Recruiting Advisors will check that your documents are complete and that you meet the basic requirements for the position you have chosen. If both conditions are met, we will forward your application to the hiring manager first.

If there are any missing documents or details - which can happen - we will contact you by email or phone. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

You may also be considered for a different position or division. If this is the case, we will contact you and ask if you would be interested in another position. We will only forward your application to that division if you agree.

You will always receive feedback from us. Whether it is an invitation to an interview or information about the ongoing selection process, we will get back to you.

In an MS Team interview lasting up to two hours with our Business Advisors and Hiring Managers from the division, you will get to know Hannover Re and we will get to know you. Just as you are choosing the best employer for you, we are trying to find the employee who will best complement our team.

If, after the interview, we feel we have a common basis for working together, we will invite you to an orientation day. This will give you a better understanding of what your future role will be and how you can get involved with us. It will also allow you and the team to see if you are a good fit. We are happy to cover your travel and accommodation costs for the orientation day.

Match or no match? We never take the decision lightly. The best result is, of course, a yes, because this means we have convinced each other. But rejections also provide learning opportunities. If it wasn't the right fit, but your training and qualifications are still of interest to us, we will, with your consent, compare your application profile with the requirements of new vacancies. You may be invited to apply again at a later date.
