Employees with a degree in construction, mining, process engineering, drilling, chemistry, renewable energy or a comparable qualification with a solid scientific and practical background can choose from a wide range of roles in underwriting. These include underwriting renewable energy risks and onshore installations such as wind farms and refineries. Communication with primary insurers, brokers and researchers is also an important part of your work.
As an engineer, you will use your practical experience and expertise to help us identify and assess existing and potential risks in technology, energy, or construction projects. As most of our engineers work in underwriting, your role will involve reviewing and analysing bids to assess risk and liaising with our clients. In addition to your experience and expertise, you will need a strong entrepreneurial and analytical mindset.
Requirements vary according to the experience you can bring to our team. Find out more here.
