Hannover Re's first reinsurance contract in Greater China dates back to 1971. To better serve clients in the region, our Shanghai office was established in 1997 and upgraded to a branch in 2008. In 2009, CIRC approved expanding our services from life & health to include property & casualty. Our Shanghai operation embodies our unique approach, focused on teamwork and creating opportunities beyond risk sharing.
