History

Hannover Re has a long history and commitment to the region. The first Australian contract was written in the 1970's and as the portfolio grew, Hannover Rückversicherung AG-Australian Branch (ABN 88 002 927 031) was registered as a foreign corporation in Australia in 1985.

Located in Barangaroo Sydney, the Australian Branch is a fully fledged service offering, performing underwriting, claims assessment, finance, actuarial and risk management functions.
