What competencies do we need?
Our tasks are as diverse as the people who work with us. Accordingly, a wide range of backgrounds and experiences are suitable – including a solid commercial qualification, a degree in economics or business administration, or practical experience in asset management, trade finance, or banking. A strong affinity for numbers and a careful, reliable working style are essential. Experience in reinsurance is an advantage, but not a requirement.
These competencies support success in the role:
- Analytical and structured thinking, with confidence in handling data and complex topics
- Reliable planning, independent prioritisation, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Professional behaviour in dynamic or challenging situations, combined with learning agility
- Clear, audience‑appropriate communication and collaborative teamwork, including in international contexts
- Interest in economic developments, global markets and regulatory requirements
Depending on the role, additional expertise in areas such as accounting (IFRS, HGB), Solvency II, reporting, finance or taxation, or experience in international projects, may be beneficial.
You do not need to meet every requirement – please refer to our job postings to see which qualifications are essential for each specific role.
