Hannover Rück SE has maintained a representative presence in Kuala Lumpur since 1990 which was upgraded to a full Branch in 1995. Our team offers life and non-life treaty and facultative reinsurance. The territorial mandate of the Branch covers 17 countries in South and South East Asia which include Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei, Philippines, Pakistan, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
The Branch is composed of five departments responsible for non-life treaty reinsurance, non-life facultative reinsurance, life reinsurance, accounts and finance as well as common services which include functions such as IT and human resources. There are currently 33 employees in the team from a variety of ethnic backgrounds working for us.
Your job
You work in small teams with at least one insurance expert. Based on your expertise and experience, you will find yourself working in either underwriting, marketing, analysis, technical processing or finance and accounting within our organization. Your tasks will vary depending on your skills set and the department you are qualified to join.
When dealing with customers, you need to have an intimate knowledge of your target markets. As our entire company is very tightly networked, there will also be a lot of interaction and coordination within the international group.
